Dear D-III Football Player,
Let me start off by congratulating you on your outstanding career in Division Three Football. This letter serves as an official invitation to notify you that you have been pre-selected for the first annual D-III Football Senior Classic, to be held, Saturday, December 5th at Salem Stadium, in Salem, Virginia. This game is hosted by the Collegiate Development Football League. The game will showcase ninety players, representing 238 D-III football programs in a North vs. South, All-Star format!
Enclosed is preliminary information on the Senior Classic game along with registration materials for you to complete and return, to the address below, immediately. Upon receipt of your information, you will be placed into the “final” player pool for our selection committee to review. We have pre-screened nearly 400 players and are only placing 45 on each team. If you are interested in being part of this game it is imperative that you get your materials in quickly and keep in contact with us, as your commitment level is a big factor in the final selection process. The initial player selections will begin to be finalized as early as October 25, 2009.
Everyone in our organization along with your family, friends, coaches, and fans across the country are excited about the opportunity of seeing you play one more time this season. The possibility of bringing your exceptional skills to Salem Stadium, to team up with, and compete against the best D-III talent in the country, will make this a memorable event. Television exposure and scouting contacts are anticipated. League representatives from the NFL, CFL, UFL and the CDFL have been invited to be part of this event.

2009 General Player Information
WHO- The Collegiate Development Football League is the host for the first annual D-III football Senior Classic
WHAT- The Senior classic has been established to show case D-III football player talent . Only seniors with no remaining eligibility are eligible to participate.
WHEN- The game will take place in Salem Stadium, Salem ,Virginia on Saturday December 5 2009 , 2pm kick-off.
ITINERARY- The following is provide as information for players, fans, and media in planning for the events leading up to the First Annual D-III Football Senior Classic in Salem, Virginia on 12/5/09, 2pm kick-off
- Wednesday12/2/09- Player, coach arrival and Check-in, in Salem ,Virginia. “Meet and Greet” organizational social at Hotel Roanoke, 7:30-9:30pm, Banquet hall.
- Thursday 12/3/09- Final player check-in and distribution of practice equipment.8:30am-9am, room TBA
- Thursday 12/3/09- Practice session #1- 10-12:15pm at Salem Stadium, lunch break, Practice session #2, 2-4:15pm.at Salem stadium Practice session #3- team meetings at Hotel Roanoke 7-8:30pm, rooms TBA (note all practices at Salem Stadium are open to the media and public)
- Friday12/4/09-Practice session #4- 10-12:15pm at Salem Stadium, lunch break, Practice session #5, 2-4:15pm.at Salem stadium Practice session #6- team meetings at Hotel Roanoke 5-6pm, rooms TBA (note all practices at Salem Stadium are open to the media and public)
- Friday 12/4/09- D-III Senior Classic Player Banquet, 7-9:15pm, Hotel Roanoke Banquet Hall
- Saturday 12/5/09- Player meeting s by teams, rooms TBA 9-10am, Player pre-game meal at Hotel Roanoke 10am.12pm players arrive at Salem stadium for walk through and pre-game warm-up. Full gear on field pre-game warm-up at 1:25 pm. Game kick-off 2pm. post game wrap-up and return to hotel 5-6pm
- Saturday12/4/09- Collegiate Development Football League High School player Clinic; 11am-12:30pm. at Salem Stadium- welcome, meet and greet the players as they arrive on game day.
WHAT YOU GET- you get- The D-III Senior Classic initial player invite letters will be arriving on college campuses prior to the first of October. Information and itinerary will be included as players will have a commit deadline beginning 10/15/09. The 90 top senior players from the nation will be chosen to fill 2 teams . The selection committee will establish teams for the North and South with 2 players deep at every position for both the offense and defense. The regions for team selection is basically as follows: North- Maryland, Ohio, Illinois and all states north- Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky and all States south. A conference break down will follow on this site for complete clarification.
All players will receive the following;

The D-III senior classic is proud to announce its affiliation with Expedia Travel for special travel and hotel arrangements/ discounts for our players and fans. Please email the D-III senior classic staff at D3seniorclassic@gmail.com for information regarding the game.
HOW?- The players are responsible to arrange for their own transportation and lodging. The game is supported by a player participation fee of $325 which is due upon final player commitment. Each player will receive and be responsible for a full page “player profile” page through sponsorship. Cost is $250 per page in the game program. (Note; this can be expanded to assist players in raising money for travel, lodging and registration expenses)
