2011 D-III Senior Classic

Daily Practice and Event Itinerary

ITINERARY- The following is general/tentative information for players, scouts, fans, and media in planning for the events leading up to the 3td Annual D-III Football Senior Classic in Salem, Virginia on Friday 12/9/11, 7 pm kick-off  (note all practices at Salem Stadium are open to the media and public)

• Wednesday12/7/11- Player, coach arrival and Check-in at Comfort Inn in Salem, Virginia.   7:00pm registration followed by “Meet and Greet” player and coaches organizational meeting in main hotel conference room.
• Thursday 12/8/11- Breakfast7:00-8:30am- Bus to field 8:45am Practice session #1- 9-12 at Salem Stadium, lunch break, 12:00-1:45 at Civic Center, Practice session #2, 2-4:30pm.at Salem stadium. Practice session #3 4:45-5:45pm- team meetings in hotel as needed.
• Thursday 12/8/11- D-III Senior Classic Player Banquet, 7-9:15pm, Salem Civic Center Banquet Hall.
•  Friday 12/9/11-Breakfast 7:00-8:30am at hotel- Bus to field 9:00am Practice session #4- 9-12:00pm at Salem Stadium, lunch break, 12:15-1:15 at Civic Center.
• Friday 12/9/11- team meetings as needed at hotel, 1:30-2:30. Note: 5:00-5:15pm players depart for Salem stadium for final walk through and pre-game warm-up. Game- 7:00 pm Kickoff, post game wrap-up- 9:30pm on field

Players must stay at the Official hotel for the Division III Senior Classic to assist in player transport to and from practices and meals.   Salem is located just off Interstate-81 at Exit 137, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Local attractions include the Salem Civic Center, Virginia Tech, and Mill Mountain Zoo. Hotel amenities include an indoor pool, whirlpool, high-speed Internet access, and a health/fitness center.
